What is SDSL?

SDSL stands for Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line technology. SDSL needs just one twisted pair (line), and is symmetric, (ie, the maximum data rate both "upstream" and "downstream" is the same), which is important to businesses when transferring large files. Business DSL is installed on a dedicated loop which provides you with a more secure, reliable connection.

Difference between SDSL and ADSL...

ADSL works with the current telephone line and does not interfere with normal phone service. SDSL requires the installation of a separate telephone line and an SDSL line can not be used to place a voice telephone call. The reason for this is ADSL utilizes unoccupied frequencies over an analog phone line whereas SDSL takes over the whole line.
